Easter Lily in full bloom and it looks and smells absolutely delightful!
Using Project 365 (a photo a day for an entire year!) as a way to motivate me to take photos more often, focus on what it is I am taking photos of and learn in the process. Doing a blog along with it to help to document the process while trying to keep my vulnerability in check. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Day 96, Project 365
This was a photo that was definitely better in my mind's eye than the camera's. So, to black and white we go to try and make it a little interesting. :)

Day 95, Project 365
Happy Easter!
So, with my new lens I LOVE the wide open aperture BUT I have to remember when it's appropriate. When it's not: most shots of two or more people. Unless you can absolutely get them on the same plane then you're sacrificing sharpness somewhere...such as many of the pictures I took today of my girls. Also, I am realizing that wide open isn't always necessary (or needed) BUT I love having the option of so much extra light that I find myself often forgetting (or simply not wanting to) the change the aperture. Lessons learned (the hard way). #project 365

Day 94, Project 365
I took pictures yesterday but with a late mass for Holy Saturday and helping the Easter Bunny stuff eggs and put together baskets it completely slipped my mind to post. So, day 94 was all about dying eggs. I couldn't pick a single picture for today - I wanted to show the family, the process and the finished product so three it is!

Day 93, Project 365
I like the first picture better, it's sweet. But the second picture I feel like the focus is WAY better. So both are being shared. I like the window light catching in Nala's eyes, too. Now if I could find some small children to photograph the same way.... :)

Day 92, Project 365
The picture isn't really what I envisioned, probably shouldn't have had the aperture wide open and I just don't care for the composition. Nonetheless - Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade with Truvia NOT Aspartame. I was beyond excited when I found this at Target! I stopped drinking diet pop at the beginning of the year because I wanted to cut out the Aspartame and my regular Crystal Light also had Aspartame so bye-bye to that as well.

Day 91, Project 365
The frogs and toads were making their presence known at the swamp along our walk today with their chorus of croaking and ribbiting. And then we happened upon this wayward creature; all by his lonesome, in the middle of the path. He was probably eager to join the fun, it was just taking a bit to get there. :)
