Day 120, Project 365

The day kind of got away from me but I snapped this shot of the sweet thank you card I received from my daughter and her volleyball teammates.

Day 119, Project 365

Practiced a few tips today (thanks, Eric!) and had promised myself I'd limit today's post to one picture...but I just couldn't narrow it down.

Day 118, Project 365

So, this is where we're at in life: sports events often.  I love it though and will miss it when she's done (the oldest is done and has been for quite some time and I still miss watching her).  And it's good, free practice and snapping pics.

Day 117, Project 365

Last day...made a mini-trip up the North Shore.  Probably one of my favorite areas - definitely within our state.

I know they're rodents but they're kinda cute!  (Someone else was kind enough to leave treats behind for the chipmunks.)

Peering over Palisade Head into Lake Superior.

Yup...making me nervous.

Slowing down the shutter speed.

Day 116, Project 365

Tournament Day!

In action!

I LOVE the celebration shots!  The passion and emotion these portray always make me smile!

Day 115, Project 365

Busy weekend out of town but I still kept up with pictures:

Betty's Pies!

Day 114, Project 365

I love that my Rhododendron is starting to bloom and so it makes it easy to snap pictures of it.

Days 115 and 116 will be delayed but rest assured I'll be taking PLENTY of pictures!

Day 113, Project 365

Track meet for the youngest on this gorgeous spring day.
Still need to work on focus...I think these are fine but there are a couple I shot that I completely missed...whoops.  :)

Day 111, Project 365

According to one local meteorologist, this is called 'groppel'...it looked like bean nag filling to me.  April 21, this is yucky!

Day 109, Project 365

Today I ventured outside of my comfort-zone (again) and met up with a couple ladies from a Facebook photography group.  We met near the Guthrie/Stone Arch Bridge; such a great location that I've always wanted to photograph but didn't want to go alone so this was perfect.  Nicole and Elaine were both so friendly and put me at ease immediately.

As usual I had a hard time narrowing down my photos so there's a few (or so) I'm posting today. Yay, though, I kept my shots under 100 today!!  :)

Day 108, Project 365

The lost art of ribbon-making.  With gift bags being so abundant, rarely are gifts wrapped anymore. And if they are wrapped, who has time to make a bow, right?  I had a wedding shower to attend today and decided every bride needs bows (it's tradition after all) so I got out my ribbon and made a bow for the gift.  I am beyond grateful my Great Aunt Darlene taught me how to make bows so many years ago.  Now I suppose I need to teach my girls?!

Day 106, Project 365

I'm not sure what wildflower (weed) this is but they brought me right back to my childhood; finding them in the woods by where I grew up or in the woods by my Baba's house.
Also, the sunset was stunning tonight so two pics.  :)

Day 105, Project 365

So....high vulnerability alert!  I decided to step out (waaayyyy out) of my comfort zone and snap a selfie, ahem, self-portrait for today's post in honor of my birthday.  There's a reason I like taking pictures: it's because I'm BEHIND the camera.  It probably took me a dozen shots, I could not nail the focus (still didn't but this was the best and I was getting tired of running back and forth to set the timer) and really, I need a remote release.  Birthday present??  ;)

Anyway, I was tempted edit the heck out of this picture but I decided to keep it au naturale (other than bumping up the exposure a little and cropping a lamp out of the picture).

I can pretty much guarantee you this will be my least favorite post of my 365 but I also thought it was important to a) try and b) put myself out there in a way I am not necessarily comfortable with.

Day 104, Project 365

All caught-up!!

My focus is off.  I suspect it's operator error...however, the lens is a refurbished so it makes me a little nervous that it's the lens and not me...when I have some free time I'll need to play around with it, get the camera manual out and try and figure it out.

Anyway, I love this picture if it weren't for my focus to be elsewhere....I took this shot seven times and every single one was off.  :(

Day 103, Project 365

Monday was the Twins Home Opener:

Day 102, Project 365

Sunday brought an 11 hour volleyball tournament and the Neil Diamond concert!

Day 101, Project 365

The last few days have been BUSY - like non-stop.
Saturday was my niece's First Communion.

Day 100, Project 365

Holy cow!  100 days?!  100 days straight of taking at least one (usually more, often many, many more) photo a day.  January 1 seems so long ago and it's hard to believe I've not fallen off the wagon, so to speak.  Now, if only I could commit to dieting or working out for 100 days straight...  ;)

As seems to be typical for me, couldn't narrow down today's pictures (my blog, my choice, right?), so here are a few from today.

Day 98, Project 365

The more photographers/photography websites I follow on Instagram or Facebook the more I feel like continuing to pursue this is something I so badly want to do.  I have A LOT to learn, but a girl's got to start somewhere, right?  And I'm not going to lie, seeing others' work intimidates me and has 'you're not worthy' running through my head, BUT more and more their work is inspiring me.  So, I keep on with this challenge (only two days to 100 -WHAT??), keep learning and growing and experiencing.  :)

Day 97, Project 365

Easter Lily in full bloom and it looks and smells absolutely delightful!
