Day 273, Project 365

Beautiful fall day...even with a nasty cold.  :(

Leaves, the last of the garden and probably the last stop at Dari-ette for the season.

Day 272, Project 365

It's looking like this is Kait's last season of volleyball and it makes me incredibly sad to see this part of her life, all our lives, come to an end.  So, forgive the volleyball overload but since it's consumed so much of our life and knowing how much I'll miss watching her play, this blog will kind of become a little tribute to it.  :)

Also, it's extra fun tonight because they had a rather dominating match against rival Hill Murray.

And because I LOVE the celebration shots!

Day 270, Project 365

Checking out some areas today for upcoming photos and took advantage of what nature had to offer me.  And, also, yes, the Super Moon/Blood Moon.

This just cracked me up; it looks like the Barbie version of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, hanging out in the water instead of on top of the mountain.

Day 265, Project365

Wow...only 100 more days left of this year and this challenge?  Crazy!

Another Tuesday, another volleyball match.  Polars took another win tonight but were pushed to three sets for it.  This is our girl with the GAME-WINNING kill!  :)

Day 264, Project 365

19th Anniversary!

Day 263, Project 365

Today started with checking out a location for a family shoot I was asked to do in October.  The family wants an old Americana feel and this place couldn't be more perfect.  I was SO excited when I took a look around - so many possibilities.  I am really looking forward to this shoot!!!

Then I took the back roads home, checking out the 'country' and drove through Afton.  I've been there before and while it's cute and quaint it''s pretty quiet usually.  Today, however, shops were open and there were vintage/used/antique/repurposed things to peruse as well as the most awesome Minnesota t-shirt (new, not used!) that I HAD to have!  :)

After that the hubby and I went out to River Falls to 'Bacon Bash'.  Saw the oldest daughter for a few minutes, lunched on some delicious bacon items (maple bacon cheese curds, bacon nachos), a Spotted cow or two and just enjoyed the beautiful almost fall day.

Couldn't decide on a single pic today so here's a peek at our afternoon:

Day 260, Project 365

Game day!

As an aside, this sometimes feels like a place I can most easily express myself.  it's been one of those weeks where you kind of want to pinch yourself.  For years I've dreamed of becoming a 'real photographer'...when you love doing something and you're completely passionate about it it makes sense to want to pursue it.  Except I didn't.  I was afraid.  But, I'm becoming less afraid.  And I'm putting myself out there, making myself vulnerable and taking some risks.  And guess what?  It's starting to pay off and I couldn't be happier!

Day 259, Project 365

The day almost got away from me without a picture...  :)

Day 258, Project 365

A seriously fabulous match tonight!  North was down 19-8 at one point in the first set and rallied to come back and win; with the set-winning kill from Kaitlyn!  Set two wasn't as lopsided and with nine straight serves by Kait and a one-armed pop-up to save a ball North went on to win set two, too.

Day 257, Project 365

Yep, the dog again...but at least he's with a human.  At least I think she's a human (sometimes I wonder...)

Day 256, Project 365

Good thing I have Fozzie as my go-to model.  :)

Day 255, Project 365

Volleyball tournament's give me lots of options for photos.  Sometimes too many, though.  :)

My girl, hitting:
